On January 1st 2001, the Canadian Government requires all hunters bring Firearms into Canada, to fill out the Non-resident Firearm Declaration form. This form must be filled out for each firearm being brought into Canada. The hunters name, address, and birth date along with the firearms serial number, make and model. The form has space for three firearms to be registered at one time. The Government requires $50.00 Cdn along with the form. NOTE: if the hunter hunts more then once a year and brings the same firearms, he or she only has to register once and pay the fee once. But he or she has to register each year and pay each year his or she hunts in Canada. The form can be down loaded in PDF Format below. If you do not have Adobe Acrobat Reader on your computer, just click on the icon and down load it from the internet for free. It is best to have the form filled out before arriving at the border. It saves time doing it at the border and shows that everything is organized. If you have any questions, please email or phone Nanika Guiding and we will be happy to try and answer your questions.
