Base Operation
The Base Operation is for the hunting we do out of the Base. This is the Guide Outfitters residences and cabins.
During the spring this is where we operate our Black Bear hunts from and in the fall we operate our Moose hunts from. We also use our base for clients arriving and the night before they depart. Our dinning room is used for serving the meals and conversations. The two cabins on the property are used for client accommodations. These are comfortable cabins with electricity, hot and cold running water, shower facilities, semi private bedrooms with wooden bunks with mattresses, plus satellite TV to watch the favorite sports team.
We also have the skinning rack and screened in meat shed for hanging the quarters of meat for the clients to take home with them. We use 4X4 vehicles for transportation to the various hunting areas. Winches mounted on the vehicles are used to get the animals to the road side for loading. We also use an ATV and powersaw winches if the animal is further for the road side. This base is where we hunt road accessible areas from.
Our Base is accessible by public road or by being picked up at the Smithers airport and transported back to the base.
