Nanika Guiding’s Hunting Territory is 1250 square miles. The area is mostly government land with very little private land.
The guiding territory reaches from Francois Lake on the most eastern point to the continental divide between the interior of British Columbia and the coastal area of British Columbia. There is 40% of the territory that are accessible by vehicle and 60% of the territory that are accessible by float plane or hiking. Nanika Guiding hunts a number of areas throughout both the road and aircraft accessible regions of the territory. We have three cabins in the remote back country, which we hunt for Moose and mountain Goat. In the road accessible areas we have our base camp and a satellite camp to hunt Moose, black bear and Grizzly from.
There is also many parts of the vast territory that we do not have an access, this area is ideal for the wildlife to live undisturbed by humans. In the past three years we have explored and developed some specialized areas for Moose and Goat hunting and will continue to seek out other areas to offer similar hunts to our guests. We feel by spreading out the hunting pressure, we can keep the quality of the hunts to a higher success rate and maintain our 70% repeat clientele.
